included on a roster addition. However, no student may move up to a higher

level of competition during post-season play.

Students who move up to a higher level of competition must have participated in at least one regular season game at that level to be eligible for participation in post-season play.


F. A student must be in at least the seventh (7th) grade to be eligible for competition.


G. A student who transfers from one island school to another is ineligible to participate in Alliance athletic competition for one calendar year from the date of his first attendance at the new school in either the 10th, 11th, or 12th grades. If enrollment takes place in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grade, no waiver request is necessary.


H. The Alliance recognizes exceptions only if:
1. The student must transfer to another school because the transferring

school does not have a 10th, 11th or 12th grade.

2.The student must transfer to another school because of a Legal Change of Residency by the parent or legal guardian. Legal Change of Residency is defined as moving from one Senatorial District to another, as established by the Electoral Law of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; or moving to Puerto Rico from any jurisdiction outside the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

3. The student must transfer to another school because his/her Parent or Legal Guardian is employed full-time by the receiving school. The transfer must take place within the first two (2) years of employment in the receiving school. Supporting evidence must be accompanied with the Waiver Request Form.

4. The student must transfer to another school because his/her Parent or Legal Guardian has been granted or denied Military/Federal Educational Benefits. In the case of denial, the student must return to the school which he/she transferred from originally. Supporting evidence must be accompanied with the Waiver Request Form.

5. Exchange students. The student is attending the receiving school as part of an official student exchange program and must return to his / her original school at the conclusion of the program. Supporting evidence must be accompanied with the waiver request.


I. Students who transfer from one school to another may apply for a waiver of the ineligibility rule only in the above-indicated cases. For consideration, FOUR (4) COMPLETE AND ACCURATE SETS of the application for waiver shall be received by the chairperson of the Executive and Evaluation Committee.


J. Any student who participates in a sport camp led by a coach or employee from a member school, or participates on a team coached by a coach or employee of a member school who transfers to said coach's or employee's school within one year will be ineligible for Alliance participation for one (1) year regardless of the reason for transfer.


K. Any student who participates in a sport camp led by a coach or employee from a member school, or participates on a team coached by a coach or employee of a member school who transfers to said coach’s or employee’s
