BY-LAW 31. SPORTS SEASONS

A. The following dates will determine the seasons of the individual sports:

    1. September 1 - December 1: for Football, Volleyball, Golf, Male’s Soccer and Cross-Country.

    2. December 1 - March 1: for Basketball, Wrestling, Tennis, Swimming and Female’s Soccer.

    3. March 1 - May 11: for Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, and Futsal.


B. For convenience of scheduling, the above-mentioned dates may be altered by a maximum number of six (6) days by the commissioner of the particular sport.


C. The above mentioned dates may be altered by the council.


BY-LAW 32. RULES GOVERNING THE USE OF DIVISIONS
A. Divisions shall be created on the basis of school enrollment. Exception to this rule should be requested to the Executive Committee.


B. Enrollment will be defined as students enrolled on the second (2nd)Friday of August. Such enrollment will be reported as two figures:

     1) number of boys enrolled, and

     2) number of girls enrolled.


C. A statement of enrollment will be signed by each school principal and delivered to the president at the spring meeting.


D. In grades 9-12 divisions in boys' varsity and junior varsity sports will be based on male enrollment and divisions in girls' varsity and junior varsity sports will be based on female enrollment in grades 9-12.

Divisions in junior high sports will be based on enrollment in 7th and 8th grades.


E. No division shall be created with fewer than five competing schools without approval from the Executive and Evaluation Committee.


F. In volleyball, basketball, indoor and outdoor soccer, tennis, baseball and softball, varsity schedules will be constructed so that each team plays no fewer than 10 games during the regular season.


BY-LAW 33. INFRACTIONS AND SANCTIONS

A. Willful disregard of the rules set down in the Constitution and the By- Laws of the Alliance and willful disregard of the rules set down by the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations and other rules recognized for Alliance competition will result in sanctions against individuals, teams and/or schools. These sanctions will be determined by the Alliance Council; under the direction of the president unless otherwise specified.


B. Certain automatic sanctions and penalties for infractions of the By- Laws of the Alliance are set out elsewhere in these By-Laws. They include:

   1. A fine of $100.00 per roster for failure to submit eligibility rosters to the Alliance office at least seven (7) days prior to the first scheduled contest in a category and the forfeiture of any contests scheduled to be played prior to the receipt of said roster. (By-Law 9 B).

   2. A fine of $100.00 per schedule for failure to submit signed schedules to the Alliance office at least seven (7) days prior to the
